From the farmer's perspective, choosing to farm by organic methods is in many cases a philosophical choice. Some are driven by wanting to care for the environment; others are concerned about the health of their family, and some see it as a way of protecting our planet for future generations.

Either way, the farmers' choice ultimately gives us (the consumer) more choice. And when it comes down to the bottom line, organics are kinder to the environment and will hold us and future generations in good stead for a safer tomorrow.

Don't be misled by unsubstantiated label claims. Be sure the organic products you buy are 'certified organic' by looking for the 'bud' logo on the label.

Australian Certified Oragnic (ACO) issues the Australian Organic Standard. This Standard is met and monitored by the Biological Farmers Association (BFA) one of the certifying bodies in Australia.
